From plant based eating to fruit infused drinks – natural foods are the latest in healthcare. But eating clean shouldn’t be the only part of a healthy lifestyle.
What we put in our mouths, on our bodies and what products we use around the home all play a part in maintaining a healthy (and happy) environment.
To help you to achieve an ultimate wellness status, we’ve listed our top 7 cleaning swaps to form part of a healthy lifestyle.
Swap polish for a Microfibre cloth
Microfibre cloths give you superior cleaning power vs. your average cleaning cloth. They have lots of tiny fibres which deep clean surfaces to remove grease, dust and dirt with ease. Use them around the home, wet or dry, without the need for chemicals.
Our Let It Shine, extra thick microfibre cloths come in a pack of four bright colours, making them easy to allocate to different tasks or rooms around the home – think blue for bathroom, pink for sink, and green for glass.
Swap oven cleaner for baking soda
Oven cleaners can be extremely harsh and highly toxic. So next time you need to clean the oven why not try out a natural, homemade solution…
Mix equal parts baking soda and water to create a paste. Spread a thick layer of the paste on the inside of your oven and wait for a minimum of 30 minutes for the baking soda to work its magic. Then wipe the paste away with a clean damp cloth, such as our Wiper Upper to reveal a sparkling clean oven.

Swap wipes for a homemade cleaning spray
When you’re trying to fit cleaning alongside a busy work, family, and social life – a simple cleaning wipe may feel like the most convenient option but it’s not the most natural.
Instead, put some time aside to prep your very own homemade cleaning spray. Simply mix ½ cup white vinegar, 1.5 cups water and the juice of half a lemon in a recycled spray bottle and you’re good to go.
Swap shower spray for lemon
Ever feel like your daily shower cleaner just isn’t getting rid of those hard water marks? Then look no further.
Next time life gives you lemons, cut one in half and use it to rub your glass shower door before rinsing away – those hard water marks will be gone in no time.
Swap air freshener for essential oils
Air fresheners are often filled with chemicals and, more often than not, mask odours rather than remove them.
For a healthy alternative, invest in a diffuser and your favourite essential oils to freshen up your home. Essential oils are even known to do more than make your home smell nice, they can offer antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties.
We love to pop some essential oils onto a cotton wool ball and leave it in the bathroom whilst we take a bath – the steam will help the oils to infuse and leave your bathroom smelling great.
Swap glass cleaner for vinegar
They say granny knows best and when it comes to cleaning, it seems she really does. Swap your usual glass cleaning solution for some white vinegar and your trusty Squeaky Clean cloth.
Mix 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and the juice of ½ a lemon in a glass spray bottle and use to clean the window. The next generation microfibre cloth will also help to give your windows a streak-free finish – et voila!
